Recognizing a need in our community for a local resource to help residents, we started a food and clothing pantry. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community! And while we've only been able to focus on clothing we have been diligently raising money for a facility to house CCI that will allow us to safely store food for the pantry.
We focus on giving people a hand up while maintaining their dignity. So often people don't qualify for any assistance because they make just a little too much. Or they've entered a hard time that is temporary. Either way, we want to help!
Our clothes are available free of charge to any citizen in the Coleridge School Dist. So whether you just had a baby and need some clothes for the both of you, or PawPaw needs shoes and a blanket to get through winter, we are here if you need a Hand Up! Most of our clients come to us by referral, but you are welcome to contact us directly.
Our community is full of people who want to help. Which is perfect because it truly takes everyone to make difference!
Food inequity is a very real part of our small rural community. Even working full time is not a guarantee that one is at or above poverty level. Some folks just hit a rough patch and need help short term, others may need a hand on a more consistent basis. Either way we strive to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
A nonprofit is as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change.
There are many ways to join us and support our mission. Contact us to find out more about volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and ways that you can get our message to your friends and family.
